Funds

Every year, The Green Bird Network gives out grants to help various environmental projects become a reality. And these projects don’t just have to help birds. They can help to preserve our world through various means, whether it be cleaning up a national park, or studying the decline in the wolf population in Northern Ontario. The Friends of Nature Fund. Preserving our world through knowledge.

How Can I Apply?

The only eligibility criteria that The Friends of Nature Fund requires is that your club or organization has become a partner with the Green Bird Network (to find out more about partnerships, click here). All partners with Green Bird Network have an equal opportunity of getting their project off the ground. Once your application has been accepted, your project will be put to a vote available to all users of the Green Bird Network. In this way, your project isn’t put to a tribunal of executives… but rather to your actual peers and fellow bird lovers to vote on. Only one project per club per year is allowed; in this way, everyone will be given an equal chance to receive funding.

Where does the funding come from?

Every time someone buys a copy of Green Bird Network, portion of the sale goes into the Friends of Nature Fund. The more people that sign up and help Green Bird Network become the worldwide teaching tool that it should be, the more and more funds will be available for environmental projects to help our world become a better place.
