The former chair of the Ontario Premier´s Innovation Council has spent most of his life as a technology executive and currently chairs the board of Zarlink Semiconductor as well as two other companies.

Carruthers is an orthopedic surgeon and former chief of staff of the Ottawa Hospital. The graduate of Carleton University and the University of Ottawa has served on several non-profit boards.

Henderson runs an Ottawa clean energy company and he is the former co-chairman of the economic development group The Ottawa Partnership.

Polowin is a municipal affairs lawyer with Gowlings who frequently appears before Ottawa city council. He writes a regular column on municipal matters in the Ottawa Citizen.

Cohen is a journalist, author and president of The Historica-Dominion Institute. He is on leave from Carleton, where he is a professor of journalism and international affairs.

Ottawa dentist Nalin Bhargava has been involved with many local charitable organizations and is a former President of the Ottawa Dental Society. Presently, he serves on the board of the United Way and Bruyere Continuing Care Foundation and is chair of the Maharaja´s Ball, which supports a number of community organizations.

Although graduating as a nurse, Shirley has spent most of her career in the Construction and Development Industry. She has also been very involved in many Business and non profit organizations over the last thirty years.

Blais, a former Minister of National Defence in the Trudeau years, is counsel for MBM, an intellectual property law firm. He also chairs the Board of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
