ASD Therapist Trainers Inc. specializes in providing quality hands-on training to therapists working one to one in home, language based programs
for children and adolescents with autism and other developmental delays. Methods of Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior are employed.
ASD Therapist Trainers Inc. can offer:
- Therapist Observations – An initial observation of the therapist in session will be conducted by a therapist trainer in order to assess the therapist’s current skill level.
Additional therapist observations can be scheduled according to client needs
- Therapist Evaluations – During the initial observation, the therapist trainer will be evaluating the therapist based on the methods of effective teaching found in the literature of Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behaviour in the areas of manding, pairing, effective teaching procedures & error correction.
- Descriptive feedback for therapists and parents – The therapist and parents will receive detailed written feedback about the therapist's area(s) of strength, areas that require improvement and future recommendations concerning therapy techniques.
- Video reviews – Videotapes of therapists in session will be taken and reviewed by a therapist trainer. A completed video review (including anecdotal/descriptive data) will be provided to and discussed with both therapist and parents.
Upon completion of the initial observation, evaluation, and written feedback, arrangements can be made regarding the continued involvement of a therapist trainer to suit each client’s individual needs.
